 FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM (ATA 26)

Fire protection systems mendeteksi pesawat pada kondisi :

•  Kebakaran (fire)
•  Asap (smoke)
•  Overheat
•  Kebocoran Pneumatic duct

Fire/Overheat Detection

Pesawat mempunyai fire/overheat detection system yaitu :

• Engine overheat detection
• Engine fire detection
• APU fire detection
• Wheel well fire detection
• Wing/Body overheat detection
• Cargo compartment smoke detection
• Lavatory smoke detection

Pemadam api (Extinguishing)

Pesawat mempunyai fire extinguishing system yaitu :

• Engine
• APU
• Lavatory
• Cargo compartment
• Portable fire extinguishers

FIRE ALARMS

Fire alarms menyediakan visual dan aural indication untuk pilot tentang

fire pada system ini yaitu :

• Engine 1
• Engine 2
• APU
• Cargo compartment
• Main wheel well.
• Visual and Aural Indications
• Ketika terjadi fire, visual dan aural indications:
• Lampu FIRE WARNING akan menyala
• Bell aural warning unit akan berbunyi

Visual and Aural Indications

Ketika terjadi fire, visual dan aural indications:

• Lampu FIRE WARNING akan menyala
• Bell aural warning unit akan berbunyi

Overheat / Fire Test

Kita bisa mengetes melalui TEST switch untuk engine dan APU pada control panel yang ada di cockpit. Pengetesan dilakukan pada saat sebelum starting engine dan APU, maupun pada saat pre flight.

Komponen fire protection terdiri atas :

• Engine and APU Fire Detection Module
• Engine and APU Fire Control Panel
• Fire Loop Detectors
• Aural Warning Unit

FIRE EXTINGUISHING

Fire extinguishing system berfungsi untuk memadamkan api dengan halon, yang dikontrol dari cockpit, terdiri atas :

• 2 botol fire extinguisher yang terletak di wheel well untuk mensupply ke engine
• 1 botol untuk APU
• 1 botol untuk cargo compartment

APU FIRE DETECTION

Komponen APU fire detection system yaitu :

•  APU fire detectors
•  Engine and APU fire detection module
•  Engine and APU fire control panel
•  APU ground control panel.
•  Aural warning unit
•  APU electronic control unit

CARGO COMPARTMENT SMOKE DETECTION

Komponen cargo compartment smoke detection system yaitu :

• Smoke detectors
• Cargo electronic units (CEU)
• Cargo fire control panel
• Aural warning unit
• Fire warning lights.

CONTROL AND INDICATION FIRE PROTECTION

BILA TERJADI FIRE PADA ENGINE no.1, maka :

• Fire bell akan berbunyi
• Lampu Fire warning menyala
• Lampu Master caution menyala
• Lampu Overheat detection menyala
• Lampu Engine 1 fire warning menyala
• Lampu Engine 1 Overheat menyala

Kemudian pilot menarik handle Fire Engine 1 , maka :

• Fire extinguisher 1 armed
• Aliran fuel ke engine 1 “closed”
• Hydraulic valve yang ke engine 1 “ closed” & low hyd press nyala
• Engine Bleed air “closed”
• Engine Generator 1 “off”
• Reverse Thrust engine 1 “inop”
